In Sweden the company is represented by three companies, among them BAE Systems C-ITS AB which is a world leading supplier of education and training solutions within the defence industry.Pitch Technologies AB is a company based in Linköping which has a world leading position in the development of simulation systems and associated products and services. Through the acquisition BAE Systems has gained access to cutting edge technology within distributed simulation systems. - Kendrion N.V. divests Kendrion Automotive Metals
Mannheimer Swartling has assisted the Dutch listed company Kendrion N.V. in connection with the divestment of Kendrion Automotive Metals. Buyer is Gnosjö-Gruppen Holding AB. Kendrion Automotive Metals develops, manufactures and distributes components for bodywork, driveline and interior for cars and trucks. The group has approximately 700 employees in Sweden, Germany, Slovakia and Hong Kong and its turnover is in excess of SEK 1 billion. The purchase price was approximately SEK 385 million on a cash and debt free basis. The transaction is conditional upon clearance from the Swedish competition authorities.Jan Holmius was the partner in charge assisted primarily by Johan Swahn and Jonas Holmqvist. Oliver Schulte and Nellie Schiebeler were responsible for matters relating to the German operations and Åsa Jansson was responsible for matters relating to Hong Kong. - East Capital Explorer AB (publ) listed on OMX Nordic Exchange

Mannheimer Swartling has represented the majority shareholders in the sale of Coding Technologies AB to Dolby Laboratories, Inc. Coding Technologies is a provider of audio compression technologies for the mobile, digital broadcast, and Internet markets. The purchase price was USD 250 million, net of cash. Mannheimer Swartling has assisted AB Annas Pepparkakor in the sale of an industrial property to Storstockholms Industrifastigheter AB for approxmately SEK 60 millions. The sale was effected by way of a transfer of all shares in Pepparkakshuset i Tyresö AB. AB Annas Peparkakor will be the tenant in accordance with a lease with a term of 15 years. Mannheimer Swartling has assisted Swedish hotel operator Scandic entering into a partnership with Danish real estate developer Schaumann Properties A/S to develop a new hotel with 572 rooms located at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. The hotel marks the first serious step on Scandics new international growth strategy and is expected to open in February 2010. The hotel is a part of a larger development scheme at Potzdamer Platz. The scheme will also include a residential part, wellness & fitness as well as other commercial elements. Potsdamer Platz is one of the very centres of Berlin within easy reach of the greater parts of the inner city.Maria Wolleh was the responsible partner of the transaction, who was assisted by associate Carsten Schippmann. - Scandic builds a new hotel in Kista and purchases a hotel in Stockholm
