  Application Deadline: October 19, 2007 The Fulbright U.S. Student Program, sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, equips future American leaders with the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly global environment by providing funding for one academic year of study or research abroad, to be conducted after graduation from an accredited university.   AMHERST, Mass. – Eleven students from the University of Massachusetts Amherst have been awarded scholarships for study in Asia during the next year. The scholarship awards range from $750 - $7,000 depending on the length of study and the source of the scholarship...
• UPDATE New Passport Requirements Waived for the Summer
  In response to the backlog in passport processing, the Departments of State and Homeland Security announced that those traveling to Canada, Mexico, Bermuda and the Caribbean may travel without a passport in hand through September 30. They will be required to present a government-issued photo identification and an official proof of application from the U.S. Department of State.

Burn Memorial Scholarship are:Jimin Ha '08, Mathematics, international student from the Republic of KoreaEmerald Shirley, '09, Social Thought and Political Economy, who will study abroad at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, during the 2007/2008 academic year.

  The School of English and International Studies (SEIS), Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) is now recruiting native speakers of English with MA degrees and above for the fall 2007. Teaching positions are now available in its Department of English and Department of International Journalism and Communication, and its Centers for English and American Literature, Linguistics and Applied Linguistics, Translation Studies, American Studies, British Studies, Australian Studies, Irish Studies, and Canadian Studies.

• Asia Pacific Association for International Education Conference
  

  We would like to invite your esteemed university to participate in the 2nd Asia Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference and Exhibition which will be hosted by NUS. It will be held in Singapore from 7-9 March 2007. This is one of the big annual events for international education professors, providing them with useful information, excellent networking opportunities and a platform to exchange ideas.
  The inaugural conference last year in Korea had brought together 146 institution from 26 nations. The participants have benefited from the plenary and panel discussions to achieve co-operation and collaboration around the world.
