Fortunately, the last few months have given us a glut of awesome titles to play over the holiday break. I say fortunately because to say that this week's list is anemic would be a huge understatement. A few titles are trickling in, but considering the season and the fact that Christmas Day lands in the middle of the week this is hardly surprising. I don't know about you, but not owning a PC, I can't wait to crack open UT3 on my PS3. While Motostorm was decent, it has more potential than any PS3 title before to cement its networked play. Here's a rundown on what else is coming out this week.
Few Kotaku readers will gripe that this week contains too many must-buys. The only complaints that will come from this pre-holiday release week will come weeks from now, as one is faced with a surprise copy of Alvin & The Chipmunks stashed under the tree. Consider it a good week to catch up on November's releases.
I'm so behind on games right now after Tokyo that I really shouldn't be buying anything new, but I fear that the siren call of Phantom Hourglass will be too strong to resist. What's on your game purchasing horizon this week?
There's a little something for everyone this week from the gorgeous Eternal Sonata and the uber cute MySims to the gritty World In Conflict and action packed Stranglehold. As I will be spending the next two weeks abroad I won't be playing much of anything until I return but Eternal Sonata is definitely my pick for this week. Anything you'll be picking up?
