  I disagree. They have the same protection for debit cards that have the MasterCard or Visa Symbol. Debit cards you need to notify the bank quicker. Another rule that some banks forget about is this. For unauthorized transfers involving only your debit card number (not the loss of the card), you are liable only for transfers that occur after 60 days following the mailing of your bank statement containing the unauthorized use and before you report the loss.   Only one member of our family uses a debit card. Antiquated as it may be, the rest of us choose cash, checks, or credit cards in that order. Thanks for this informative article.
