The credit card issuers, and holders, have eevery opportunity to reduce credit card for by a high margin.
There is plenty of room on the front of credit cards for a picture and a one liner that states Picture ID Required.
Merchants who don't check ID should be held accountable as should credit card issuers who issue cards witout the picture and picture ID requirement, not the card holder.
The PIN could also be increased to 6 numbers. If we can remember a hundred telephone numbers. a 6 digit PIN should be no problem.
