• EDS Agility Alliance’s synnovation Named Best in Show at Best Outsourcing Thought Leadership Awards
  Plano, TX – EDS today announced that the New York-based Outsourcing Institute recently recognized three articles that appeared in synnovation, the Journal of the EDS Agility Alliance, with a total of four awards for Best Outsourcing Thought Leadership (BOTL). The winning articles are: “Rethinking the Path to Innovation” by Dan Scheinman, which won Best in Show and in the human resources category, “In Search of the Holy Grail” by Mark Mayo, and “Beyond Google: Searching the Library of the Future” by Cindy Hill.
• EDS Awarded $715 Million Contract for Bristol-Myers Squibb Information Services
  PLANO, Texas – EDS today announced a seven-year, $715 million information technology (IT) services contract that calls for EDS to deliver IT infrastructure services to Bristol-Myers Squibb.

  Nobel's Michael Sohlman discusses the legacy of the Nobel Prize and the corporate sponsorship of EDS. On Dec. 10, the 2007 Nobel Prize Award Ceremony for Physiology or Medicine, Literature, Chemistry, Physics, and for Economic Sciences in memory of Alfred Nobel took place in Stockholm, Sweden, as it has since 1901. The Nobel Peace Prize is presented that day in Oslo.

  PLANO, Texas – EDS today announced its board of directors has elected Ron Rittenmeyer chairman of the board. Rittenmeyer, 60, will also retain the titles of president and chief executive officer.

  PLANO, Texas – EDS today said its board of directors has approved a stock repurchase program authorizing the company to buy back up to $1 billion worth of common stock over the next approximately 18 months.

• EDS and Telekomunikacja Polska Sign Largest-ever IT Outsourcing Deal in Poland
  PLANO, Texas – EDS today announced it has signed a US$52 million, five-year information technology (IT) outsourcing agreement with Telekomunikacja Polska, a major company in the TP Group (TP), and a leading telco operator in Poland. France Telecom, a leading global provider of telecommunication services, holds approximately 47.5 percent equity in TP. The deal is the largest technology infrastructure outsourcing contract ever signed in Poland

  PLANO, Texas – EDS today announced it has completed the acquisition of an approximate 93 percent equity interest in Saber Corp., a leading provider of software and services to U.S. state governments, from various sellers, including majority shareholder Accel-KKR.

• EDS Awarded $11.6 Million VA Contract for HSPD-12 Personal Identity Verification Cards
  HERNDON, Va. – EDS announced today that the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) awarded EDS an $11.6 million contract to help the department develop and provide personal identity verification (PIV) card solutions to all VA employees, affiliates and contractors in accordance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12).

  Arlington, Virginia – Customer satisfaction among Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) users has reached its highest level in the history of the program, with an overall satisfaction rate of 83.8 percent. More than two-thirds of the satisfied users rated the program in the upper range of satisfaction.
